To celebrate the 50th year of Indian Independence, the festival was conducted in five cities across the country. The special feature of this festival was our Special Guest Lord Yehudi Menuhin. Our distinguished guests included Arve Tellefsen, Christian Eggen and the World Strings Ensemble, who performed at all the cities. -

Viji Global Arts which was created in the memory of my late wife, has instituted the Lakshminarayana International Award. The first award was given to Lord Yehudi Menuhin on January 26th at the Republic Day concert by our Honoured Chief Guest, The President of India, His Excellency, Sri K. R. Narayanan.

Some of the distinguished musicians performing are Iver Klieve, Knut Reiersrud, Kim Menzer, Tom Roy , Zhang Zhulian, Tom Roy Nielsen besides several prominent musicians from India.
